Geoffrey Landers

Geoffrey Landers
Geoffrey Landers began his artistic journey as a musician, writing, playing, producing and handling all aspects of the music business. After thirty years in the music business, he began to look for additional creative outlets.  He first explored the medium of stained glass with an artisan who created church windows.  Though not yet convinced that this was the medium for him, he met art glass artist Mary Hogan Chan and signed up for 5 lessons with her.  It was through this relationship – their discussions and Geoffrey’s observations of the processes involved in the creation of glass artworks – that drew him toward this medium.

Geoffrey now creates both traditional stained glass window pieces and slumped or “cooked” bowls, plates, medallions, and delicate laceworks of kiln-fired glass.

“It seems like I’ve been dealing with some form of glass all my life . . .”
